صرح نائب رئيس مجلس الأمن الروسي دميتري مدفيديف، بأن الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، تلقى ضمانات على سلامته قبل زيارته لأوكرانيا، دون أن يحدد من أعطى هذه الضمانات.
وكتب مدفيديف في قناته على “تيليغرام”: “بعد أن تلقى بايدن في السابق ضمانات بسلامته، ذهب أخيرا إلى كييف، ووعد بالكثير من الأسلحة وأقسم بالولاء لنظام النازيين الجدد، وتبادلوا التأكيدات بحلول النصر بفضل الأسلحة الجديدة والشعب الشجاع”.
وأشار مدفيديف، إلى أن الدول الغربية تزود كييف بالأسلحة “بشكل منتظم تماما، وبكميات ضخمة، تسمح للمجمع الصناعي العسكري لدول الناتو بكسب المال وسرقة الأسلحة لبيعها للإرهابيين في جميع أنحاء العالم”.
وفي يوم الاثنين 20 فبراير، زار الرئيس الأمريكي كييف، للقاء نظيره الأوكراني والتعبير عن دعمه لأوكرانيا.
كما ذكرت وكالة “أسوشيتد برس”، نقلا عن البيت الأبيض، اتصلت واشنطن، قبل وقت قصير من زيارة بايدن لأوكرانيا، بموسكو “لتجنب وقوع حوادث”.
